PANAMA CITY, FL – On November 23rd Christ Prep Academy successfully defended their National Homeschool Football Association Tournament championship with a 21-13 victory over the Tulsa NOAH Jaguars in a rematch of a regular season game in which the Patriots dominated. CPA was led by Most Valuable Player Noah Blair who rushed for a game high 109 yards and a TD.

Blair intercepted the Jaguars on their final drive of the game to seal the win. It was the seventh interception of the season tying him with fellow senior Josiah Gerard.

Sophomore running back Sway Jenkins rushed for 88 yards and his 32 yard scamper set up Blair’s TD to give Christ Prep the early lead. The Jags responded on their next possession and tied the score 7-7.

The teams traded turnovers but CPA was able to secure the halftime lead when Ben Einess scored from the wildcat formation and make the score 14-7.

Tulsa NOAH used everything in their bag of tricks to pull within one point in the third quarter, 14-13. But the Patriot defense held it’s ground and gave the offense a chance to build on the lead. Einess scored again from the wildcat to make it 21-13 late in the 4th period.

That set the stage for Blair’s interception. The Patriot sideline erupted and the season long goal for the seniors was realized! Blair was named the MVP for the second time. Coach Tom Hurley said afterward, “I am so proud of what these guys were able to accomplish!”
